Sports betters in several Las Vegas Casinos can now place wagers from a small wireless handheld device.
The new gaming system allows patrons to gamble from electronic credits assigned to the device after players submit cash to casino employees and register for a contactless card that keeps the devices confined to a specific area.
This security feature automatically shuts down if the device is removed from the area to ensure that no one else can use the device if lost or stolen.
Customers can place bets via the devise or from interactive touch screen kiosks on the casino floor, with “in-running betting” which allows bets to be placed while the game is in play.
