PartyGaming PLC announced Monday morning that they have been chosen by Danske Spil A/S in Denmark for an exclusive five year contract to provide an online gaming platform for poker and casino games, final terms between the companies is expected to be reached by the end of the month.
CEO of PartyGaming, Jim Ryan commented, “This is a landmark B2B deal for PartyGaming and validates our strategy to become a leading provider of B2B services to both corporates and governments around the world.”
Controlled by the Danish Government, the company offers a number of gaming options in Denmark including the national lottery, numbers games, and instant games as well as gambling on machines.
Danske Spil is one of the largest wagering and gaming organizations in Europe, the companies online gaming market alone reaches over 500,000 registered customers.
In 2011 the Danish Government is expected to partially liberalize the gaming market allowing open competition among poker and casino games, based on a 2009 draft legislation that is expected to become law.
