The Hollywood Casino at Penn National Race Course hopes that table games will attract younger gamblers and players with more money.

Frank Quigley, general manager noted that table games would also draw people wanting to bet on horse racing.

During a public hearing today, the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board was told that the addition of table games would create hundreds of jobs, boost horse racing and generate more tax revenue for local and state governments.

The gaming company plans to hire 200 people and said they could produce more than $5 million in annual tax revenue.

Over the next six months the casino will phase out slot machines to make way for fully staffed games of poker, roulette and blackjack and spend $8.5 million in equipment and upgrades to the casino floor.
