The Missouri Gaming Commission has agreed to reduce a fine imposed on the Mark Twain casino for allowing an underage patron to gamble and drink.

Last summer an under-aged patron was allowed access to the gaming floor where he hit the slots and “bought in” at a hand of blackjack as well as being served alcohol by the casino bar.

After being noticed by another patron security was notified and the incident reported.

Originally the imposed fine was $10,000, however HGI-Mark Twain Inc appealed the commission’s “preliminary order for disciplinary action” and reached a settlement to reduce the fine to $9,000.00.

The commission approved the settlement agreement at a meeting in Jefferson City on Wednesday.
