Following the submission of financial plans to the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board last Wednesday, Wynn Resorts and Philadelphia Entertainment and Development Partners (PEDP) have asked for privacy.
The partnership has filed a motion requesting that financial plans on the take-over of the stalled Foxwoods Casino not be released to the public since the agreement contains “confidential, proprietary information, as well as trade secrets related to the business activities and financial affairs”.
The motion also said that the agreement provided credit, commercial, and financial information “which, if disclosed, would cause substantial harm to the competitive position” of the partnership.
Last week Wynn Resorts provided state gaming regulators a detailed plan on how they planned to finance and develop the casino in exchange for controlling interest in the project.
Wynn has formed an affiliate company, Wynn/PEDP L.P to move forward and enter into a purchasing agreement with developers.
While a spokeswoman for Wynn said that some details would be “made public as the process continues,” the company wanted to keep “proprietary elements” confidential.
The board is scheduled to discuss the matter later in the week.
