Early Sunday morning, four masked men with assault rifles burst into the Le Pharaon Casino in Lyon, France and and made off with about $37,000 (euro28,000).
According to French police, the robbers only took about three minutes to get in and out. They took off with the loot in black BMW’s.
Apparently the men fired shots into the ceiling and used an angle grinder to break into the casino cash box area.
None of the casino patrons were hurt in the attack, however reports have said that two security guards did receive minor injuries.
This incident is just the latest in a string of European Casino robberies.
Last Sunday, a Swiss casino was hit by armed gunmen in similar style. Before that a German casino was robbed during the European Poker Tour.
Police would not say whether or not they suspected that this string of robberies were related.
