Atlantic City Casinos get added competition as another Pennsylvania Casino is approved to offer table games and announces an expansion.
Las Vegas Sands Corp has announced this week that the Gaming Control Board has granted regulatory approval for 89 table games such as blackjack, craps, roulette, poker, and baccarat as well as renewed its slots license for another three years.
The casino has also announced that with the approval they will now be able to resume construction on a stalled expansion project.
“The company’s board of directors has approved the plan for completing the hotel and we fully expect to see construction workers on the site within a matter of weeks,” said Michael Leven, president of Las Vegas Sands Corp. “The results at the Sands in recent months are more in line with our expectations of the property and with the addition of table games this summer, and 300 hotel rooms next spring, the property will be well-positioned for greater success moving forward.”
Construction is expected to take approximately one year and is scheduled to be completed by May 2011.
