The NHL’s second season is about to begin and odds makers are calling the Washington Capitols the favorite to win the Stanley cup after finishing the season with 54 wins and 121 points.
Most Vegas sportsbooks have the Caps sitting at about a 4/1 favorite. Prognosticators also like the Pittsburgh Penguins, San Jose Sharks and the Chicago Blackhawks as all three are looking at about 5/1 odds across the board.
The Capitols may be bringing the shortest odds to the party, however the Penguins bring the most experience. Pittsburgh has won the last two Eastern Conference titles and is the defending Stanley Cup Champion.
