The former executive director of the Kansas Racing and Gaming Commission has a new job.
Stephen L. Martino has been named by Maryland Governor Martin O’Malley to be the new director of the Maryland State Lottery Agency.
Martino replaces former Maryland lottery director Buddy Roogow.
Roogow left Maryland last year, at the end of November, to become the head of the D.C. Lottery.
Maryland’s new lottery director will begin his work taking over the new post on April 26th.
In Kansas, at the Racing and Gaming Commission, Martino was was responsible for the regulation of the state’s casinos and horse racing tracks. At hi former post, Martino was involved in the planning for the first-state owned casino in the U.S.
He resigned earlier this month.
