As plans for Pinnacle Entertainment’s Baton Rouge Casino gets underway, the gaming company announces its first employee.
Kim Bailey Ginn has been appointed as the senior director of marketing for the gaming property and will be responsible for the development of an integrated marketing program for the new property, including property marketing promotions, advertising programs, publicity programs and special events and for all day-to-day marketing activities.
“I am honored to be the first official employee of Pinnacle’s new Baton Rouge casino resort and to be working with Anthony and the entire development team on what will be a world-class casino entertainment destination in the heart of Louisiana’s capital city,” said Kim Bailey Ginn.
The first phase of the project is estimated to cost $250 million and will feature 1,300 slot machines, 50 table games, a 100 room hotel and other amenities.
Additional phases for the project may include an outdoor amphitheater to help attract other developers to the area.
Last month Pinnacle Entertainment canceled plans for a $350 million second casino project in Lake Charles in order to focus on disciplined capital spending and building the Baton Rouge project.
