Tropicana Las Vegas has partnered with Cantor Gaming LP, an affiliate of financial services firm Cantor Fitzgerald to open a new mobile gaming area in the casino.
A new sports and racing area is expected to open this fall as part of the resorts $165 million renovation project and will allow gamblers to use a mobile gaming device called an “eDeck” to place wagers at any time during a sporting event directly from their seat.
The eDeck will also allow patrons to play casino games like slots, blackjack and poker while away from the casino floor in the resorts bars, lounges, restaurants and new beach club.
Cantor was the first company licensed by gaming regulators to bring the hand-held wagering technology program into Nevada casinos and has also partnered with the Palazzo, M Resort and Hard Rock.
The deal is pending regulatory approval.
