Wilmington’s Delaware Park, the state’s largest gambling hall, has begun offering table games.

On Friday, Delaware Park, located about 25 miles from Harrah’s Chester Casino and Racetrack in Chester debuted games including blackjack, craps and poker.

“We have always believed that we can compete with anyone in the area,” said Delaware Park president Bill Fasy. “The addition of table games gives us one more exciting option for our customers and helps us serve our local customer base.”

Delaware is booming with gambling expansion.

Delaware Park is the second of the state’s three racinos to begin offering table games. Back at the end of May, Harrington Raceway and Casino became the first Delaware gambling hall to open its doors to table gamers and Dover Downs Hotel & Casino will begin to offer their customers 24-hour table gambling next Friday.

While Delaware continues to please their residents with a more Vegas-style gaming experience, their neighbors are not very excited.

Pennsylvania’s new gambling establishments and the already struggling Atlantic City casinos will surely feel the hit from the new competition in Delaware.
