State revenue remained relatively flat for Colorado’s 40 gaming facilities during the month of May despite falling revenue in all but one of the state’s three gambling districts.
According to the Colorado Division of Gaming the state’s mountain casinos reported combined adjusted gross proceeds, total bets minus payouts, of $66.6 million for the month up 7% and contributed $11.8 million in gaming tax proceeds to the state, up from $11 million in April.
While Black Hawks 18 casinos were on a lucky streak up 11% to $49.2 million for the month, revenue fell in both Cripple Creek and Central City.
Cripple creeks 16 casinos dropped 3% to $11.9 million and Central City’s 6 casinos also fell 3.7% to $5.5 million.
Revenues at Colorado casinos grew by more than 20 percent in April to $62.8 million in adjusted gross proceeds, but down 0.9 percent from $63.2 million in March.
