Over a month after opening the Marina Bay Sands Integrated Resort, the Singapore casino will host a two day grand opening celebration.
Las Vegas Sands opened more than 900 hotel rooms, some restaurants and the casino at the end of April, but will officially launch the opening of the remaining venues of the $5.7 billion property on Wednesday.
The grand opening celebration will focus on the 3 acre SkyPark built on top of the hotel towers and includes an observation deck, gardens, pools, restaurant, nightclub and the remaining 1,600 hotel rooms and retail stores.
The two day celebration will include a “climb to the Sands SkyPark” where seven teams representing seven regions of the world will scale the towers followed by a sprint across the SkyPark to the finish line with skydivers descending over the resort to land in the Marina Bay reservoir.
The SkyPark will open to the ticket holding public on Thursday.
