The Toledo-Lucas County Plan Commissions will vote on site plans for the Hollywood Casino Toledo on July 8.
Penn National Gaming has been approved by voters to develop and operate the $250 million gambling facility scheduled to open in late 2012.
Site plans released this week show a multi-level casino with 227,000 square feet on the main level and 218,000 square feet on the lower level.
The building will also include 114,000 square feet for a 260-space valet parking area, and 104,000 square feet for “employees and operations” as well as a 5 ½ deck parking garage with 4,388 parking spaces.
Penn also plans to include a bike trail along the river and has designated a site on the eastern side of the site between the river and the casino for future hotel development.
Once approved by the commission, the plans will not have to be voted on by the Toledo City Council unless any “interested party” files an appeal, said Tom Lemon, plan commission administrator.
