Danish pro Jesper “Kipster” Hougaard has added another tournament victory to his poker resume this past week with a win at the PokerStars Sunday Million.
The two-time World Series of Poker Bracelet winner from Copenhagen, Denmark, earned an impressive $206,834 while winning his second PokerStars Sunday Million, having taken the title once before back in April of last year.
The 25-year-old poker player won his first World Series of Poker bracelet in a $1,500 No Limit Hold’em event in 2008. His second came later that same year at another No Limit Hold’em event in London. With this second victory, Hougaard became the first player to win WSOP gold bracelets on both sides of the Atlantic, having won in Las Vegas and London.
Earlier this year, “Kipster” finished fourth in the Paddypowerpoker.com Irish Open where he took home a $13,339 cash prize. In 2008, Hougaard earned more than $923,000 playing the game he loves with five top finishes including his two bracelet wins.
